For some reason, I’m still always surprised when I meet someone with naturally beautiful skin and their answer is (again) “I use only natural products.”
When you take out all the fillers, chemicals, and craziness from our beauty bottles, we’re left with effective, nourishing, and natural beauty products… that usually cost less. As I learn and discover new recipes and ways to use them, I love sharing it with you guys. So this week, let’s celebrate summer with a cooling cucumber facial toner that will leave your skin toned, energized, and tingly in a way only fresh cucumbers can!
Cucumber juice is a natural astringent. We’ve all put slices over our eyes and felt the amazing cooling and tightening sensation. Now we can bottle it and use it on your entire face! Since this recipe can spoil, you’ll want to store it in the refrigerator…. but it will also have a heightened cooling effect and simultaneously shrink your pores by doing so.
So, without further ado, here are the ingredients you’ll need:

How to Make Cucumber Toner:
- First, you’ll need to make the fresh cucumber juice for this recipe. To do so, chop up a cucumber (peel and all) and blend it. You will be left with a watery, thick puree. Strain off the clear, green juice and you’re ready to move on to the next step.
- Mix the rest of the ingredients together in a glass bowl.
- Carefully pour into a clean bottle.
- Store in the fridge.
To use, apply a small amount with a cotton ball or spray directly onto your face first to clean skin.
Enjoy!
