Inside each day, you can include a small candy, a random act of kindness, or the FREE printable activity cards you can download at the bottom of this post. I loved syncing our activity cards with our family calendar, so the days match up with what we already had planned. For example, each year my mom hosts a grand-kid Gingerbread making contest so on that day, one of our kids will open the “Make A Gingerbread House” card from the advent calendar.

It also ensures that I never have another holiday season slip by without building a snowman, baking cookies with my kids, or creating out own Christmas cards to send to relatives and close friends.
