Guys! I am so excited about my new blogger’s office!
This space is meant to be the formal dining room of our house but honestly, who needs two kitchen tables set up all the time anyways? This use of the space keeps me in the middle of the house to keep an eye on our kids, but still able to have my own sanctuary and sanity while I’m working. As always, the room is loaded with DIY projects. We made this oversize egg-splatter canvas with the kids a few years ago (tutorial HERE) and you can see my DIY Office Chair and DIY Desk posts HERE. I also love having the clothing rack in the office so when I receive new packages and outfits to feature, I can keep them separate from my regular clothes until I’ve had a chance to review them.
Overall, I wanted to keep the space uncluttered, spacious, and clean. I have no extra shelving, no excessive storage spaces to get cluttered, and tons of natural light.
These filing cabinets had a drab beginning just like the rest of my office furniture. They weren’t nearly as boring as my DIY desk, but was still far from glamorous:
With a little marble contact paper (I used some leftovers from our desk project) and spray paint, now these cabinets compliment and blend into the feminine look of the room.
When I look at the overhaul some paint and contact paper was able to give my ugly furniture, I’m not sure why I haven’t experimented with makeovers like this before. This entire glam office has cost less than $75 and I seriously cannot wait to spend more time in here once the kids are in school again.
I hope you guys liked my little fashion blogger’s office reveal. Just in case you missed the DIYs in the post, here’s the furniture makeovers to create your own office for less than a hundred bucks:
